SETTING OUT ENGINEER - RESIDENTIAL CONTRACTOR - KILDARE
JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is a leading residential building contractor working on
developments in Kildare.
They are seeking to appoint a Site Engineer for a residential
development based in Straffan.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate capability and experience
in dealing with challenging projects.
Conduct your work in a safe manner – correct and take responsibility
to ensure that all works are carried out to the highest Health and
Safety standards.
Support the Site Manager/Project Manager to ensure that works are
completed as per programme, on budget to a high standard.
Good knowledge of house building and infrastructure works.
Competent in setting out and use of various total station and GPS
equipment.
Use of AutoCAD essential for uploading as-builts and measuring monthly
valuations.
Knowledge of Bcar & Irish Water document submissions.
Liaise with design consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners,
in house quantity surveyors in reviewing monthly valuations.
Assume day-to-day management of the site technical & engineering
requirements (RFIs, Submittals, Shop Drawings, Design Team Workshops,
etc.).
Ensure quality control measures on the site are implemented and are in
line with the overall BCAR plan for the project.
REQUIREMENTS
Hold relevant construction/engineering qualification
4+years previous setting out experience on arge-scale residential
developments projects in a similar role
Use of AutoCAD essential
Knowledge of Bcar & Irish Water document submissions.
Ability to work on own initiative
Self-motivated and hard worker
Strong team building skills
Analytical and decision-making skills
Strong budgeting and financial management skills
Excellent written and oral presentation skills
